Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Dr. med. habil. Josef Lindenberger founded the ENT practice in Frankfurt Sachsenhausen in 1984, at that time in conjunction with his role as an affiliated surgeon at Bethanien Hospital in Prüfling. Within the ENT department at Bethanien Hospital, Dr Lindenberger served as Head of the ENT Department.

His ENT practice focuses on the conservative and surgical treatment of chronic conditions of the nose and sinuses, including chronic sinusitis, chronic polyposis, and sinus disorders, particularly those associated with allergic causes. In the field of conservative therapy, this includes the treatment of patients with various ENT-related allergies, chronic inflammation of the throat and tonsils, as well as ear conditions such as chronic middle ear suppuration, middle ear infections or blockages of the Eustachian tube. For several years now, balloon dilation of the Eustachian tubes has been performed both at the practice (MVZ) and at the Kopfklinik Frankfurt.

For 15 years, Dr Lindenberger was the contracted ENT specialist for Deutsche Lufthansa AG and was responsible for examining pilots and cabin crew during the annual medical check-ups. Aeromedical aspects of medical conditions are another key focus of his medical practice.

ENT operations are carried out on an outpatient and inpatient basis at the Kopfklinik Frankfurt. The main focus of surgical treatment is on sinus surgery (maxillary, ethmoid, sphenoid and frontal sinuses) as well as surgery on the ears and middle ear region for chronic inflammation, to improve hearing (otosclerosis), and for operations resulting from injuries or accidents in this area.

Dr Lindenberger is one of Germany’s leading sinus surgeons, particularly in the field of computer-assisted navigation technology.

Dr Lindenberger is a professor in the field of ENT medicine, a specialist in ENT medicine with additional qualifications in plastic surgery and specialised ENT surgery, a member of numerous national and international ENT societies, and an honorary member of the American Rhinologic Society and the Russian Academy of Laser Medicine.
