Ear Correction – Anthelixplasty

Protruding or deformed ears are a frequent cause of teasing, particularly among children. However, many adults also suffer from sailor’s ears, cat’s ears or folded ears, as well as attached earlobes. Alternatively, the outer ear may be injured or torn as a result of an accident or improper ear piercing.



When correcting the auricles, the cosmetic result is just as important as the functional one, as the auricles play a vital role in directional hearing. The auricle is shaped using a special cutting, suturing and filing technique. This creates a permanently stable and natural shape for the auricle.



We perform this operation on an outpatient basis. Wound healing is complete after approximately 2 weeks.
