Nasal turbinate reduction

Chronic nasal obstruction can have various causes. An ENT examination is essential to determine the cause. In some cases, the sole cause is enlarged turbinates on one or both sides. Regular use of decongestant nasal drops damages the mucous membranes in the long term and leads to an increase in symptoms.

A chronically blocked nose can lead to headaches, sleep disturbances and chronic fatigue. If conservative measures do not bring about sufficient improvement, surgical turbinate reduction is necessary.

To ensure adequate reduction and a successful outcome, the procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under general anaesthesia. Thanks to the use of advanced laser
technology, post-operative discomfort is minimal. Nasal packing is not required.
