Sinus surgery

Inflammation of the sinuses is one of the most common conditions in the ENT field. Chronic inflammation is diagnosed when swelling of the mucous membranes persists for weeks despite treatment. Typical symptoms include pain in the cheek area, behind the eyes and across the forehead, particularly when bending forward quickly.

However, chronic sinusitis can pose a serious health risk. Conditions affecting the upper respiratory tract – such as bronchitis – are a common consequence.

Chronic inflammation can be resolved through outpatient surgery. Nasal packing is usually not required. The healing period is approximately 2–3 weeks.
